Before Surgery
Consultation
Our patients come to see us at 2 locations in Brooklyn. During your consultation, our team takes time to understand your concerns, then formulate a management plan that is centered on you. Your safety is our utmost concern, so we will present the safest options for you to achieve your desired results. There are no obligations at the time of consultation, as we primarily see this as an educational experience for you. However, should you desire moving forward with a procedure, we are able to get the process started on the same day.

During Surgery
Teamwork
Surgical safety is key to ensuring patients have uneventful procedures.
While nobody can guarantee a procedure free from risks, we take all measures into consideration to put the odds in your favor. Our pre-operative internist will ensure you are healthy and optimized to undergo the planned procedure, if necessary. Once you are cleared for surgery, we will meet you in our Joint Commission (JACHO) surgical suite at Wyckoff Hospital. There you will also meet with our board-certified anesthesia providers and nurses, who will help alleviate any anxiety you might be having before your procedure. Even though we are a high volume center, we are still able to give you individualized attention to ensure your experience is of the highest quality.
Depending on the nature of your procedure, you might be able to leave the same day. For the few patients that require an overnight stay, rest assured that the quality care and attention also extend to our overnight suites and inpatient beds.
Dr. Morrison
Dr. Morrison, the founder of Morrison Plastic Surgery in Manhattan has been in practice in NYC for over 20 years. He has meticulously treated hundreds of patients for complex issues such as congenital problems, breast reconstruction and body contouring to name a few. He is dually board certified in both Plastic Surgery (ABPS) and General Surgery (ACS). While he has taken care of patients from all of 5 boroughs along with New Jersey, we are excited to have him at Wyckoff, where his expertise will be readily available for our patients and the wider Brooklyn area.
Dr. Nugent
Dr. Nugent has recently relocated from Miami to join Dr. Morrison. While in Miami, he was an Assistant Professor at the University of Miami. Holding double board certifications in Plastic Surgery (ABPS) as well as Otolaryngology/Head and Neck Surgery (ABOto), he has honed skills that have allowed him to treat complex problems from head to toe. In addition to reconstruction and aesthetic surgery, Dr. Nugent is also a WPATH member, and has particular expertise in Affirming procedures.

After Surgery
Care
The period after surgery can be just as important as the surgery itself, as such, we are very involved with your post-operative care.
This involves routine follow-ups in either one of our two office locations, along with access to a hospital emergency room where we have privileges, in the unlikely event that you need to be seen more urgently. Depending on the nature of your procedure, most patients are able to resume activities within a few days or weeks, however, the body’s healing process goes on for several months. Our team remains involved in your care throughout the entire healing process, and we are happy to accommodate un-scheduled check-ups if needed.
